My first bike help me out

I am having a blast I hopped on it and its been a love affair ever since.

1999 honda cbr f4 8500 mi I took it up to 8800 so far. Given it is a used bike so I am really planning to hit the maintenance hard.
I have:
lubed the chain and tensioned it
changed the oil
ran some carb cleaner through the fuel
ridden it till I had an imprint of the seat in my butt

within a month:
jet the carbs
flush the coolant (is this possibble)?
change the plugs
maybe new sprocket and chain
new brakes

My questions are as follows:
What else needs to be done?
Where can I look for do it yourself instructions, I work on my car all the time nevertheless its a bike so i want to know everything is right
Every so often after a long ride it shuts off its happenned twice, starts right back up but i want it fixed
The idle is a little fuzzy it fluctuates given 100 rpm each way at worst once heated up the oscillation decreases.

I am all ers and want all the advice you have for me so please pitsch in your 0.02$ i want to walk away with a good dollar from this thread

Re: My first bike help me out

Air filter! Big difference when I swapped mine out. K&N is kinda steep ($100 for my 07) but they're good forever (with the cleaning kit)
