rejetting

i am moving soon from baltimore maryland, a 300-600ft elevation. to san antonio texas, 600-1200 elevation. most of my riding would be done nw of s.a. which is 1200-1800 elevation. all in feet. i'm assuming this requires a rejet. how do i do this and what size jets would be needed? its a 1991 600 f2 also has a D&D slipon.

Re: rejetting

Jetting is rather specific to each bike so your not likely to get an answer that will be right. If you are running a dynojet kit, your jetting will be between a DJ118 and a DJ126 (not comparable to Kehin or Factory Pro Jet sizes). Dynojet reccomends a DJ126 for my 94 F2 at sea level but I required a DJ120 for best power and a good reading on the O2 sensor. I run it from 0 to 6500ft on the weekends, 850 ft durring the week. Your change in altitude may not require a re-jet at all, but if so, step down a jet size to keep it the same.
