RESET SPEEDO

I bought a CBR 600 RR 2006 accident damaged bike. The front was completly damaged.I rebuild it and with a hell of a battle i got second hand speedo, new one to pricy. My problem is that the bike,s original odometer was only on 800km but the speedo wasnt working now when i start the bike for the first time the odo was standing on 14 600km.Is there a way to reset it cause it is a new bike 3months old with 14 600 on the clock.Forgot to say it is digital

Re: RESET SPEEDO

Finding someone to do it may be the problem. I dare say buying another one with close to the same miles off of E-bay would probably be easier. I don't know if a dealer would be willing to do it and anyone else could get in a hell of a lot of trouble so only a trusted friend would want to do it for you IF they had the capability.

Re: RESET SPEEDO

Oh yeah, it is possible. It is also possible to get some sort of certificate from the DMV stating the odomoter is messed up and what the actual mileage is. I have no idea what the proof you need for that is though. It can be reprogrammed if you find the right place with the right equipment.

Digital Mileage Correction And Odometer Recalibration

You need something like this but these guys can't help. Search around.
