F2 engine troubles

Are there any engines that will fit in a 94 F2 without modification besides the years 91-94?

Re: F2 engine troubles

Unfortunately no. Even the 95-98 F3's require clearancing the F2 frame to accomodate for the Throttle Position Sensor.

Re: F2 engine troubles

Aren't they the same motor with the difference being fuel injection for the 95-98 motor? If so I could put my carb on it.
Thanks for your help

Re: F2 engine troubles

The F3 engine is relatively the same dimensions at the case and would bolt into your F2 frame if you clearance it. The F3 had 2mm larger carbs than the F2 so I would assume intake boots may be slightly different. The F3 has a different wiring harness and ECU mapped to the ram-air. The F3 engine also drives the F3 speedometer unlike on the F2 which runs off the front wheel. A good thing if you want to run an exotic front fork setup.
