| PC III Non Usb question I bought a pcIII thinking it was the usb version, and didn't even notice that it wasn't. My question is, how the hell do I tune this thing? I mean, I only paid 60 bucks for it, was it a good deal nonetheless? |

| Re: PC III Non Usb question you have to have a computer that has a serial port. get a serial cable so you can make the connection from pc3 to computer. and go to the power commander website to download the software. ( i'd assume they have it there) You also may have instructions there as well. once you install everything, then you can finally upload the map for your bike and exhaust. |

| Re: PC III Non Usb question That must be the older serial port cable. Most computers don't use them anymore I believe. Some older laptops may have one and if you can find one it should still work the same. Dynojet may be able to help you out. Something tells me there may even be an adapter available. Good luck. |

| Re: PC III Non Usb question for my older serial pciii, i found a usb/serial adapter for pretty cheap. you can also find it at most big electronics chains (ie best buy, circuit city) but expect to pay close to $30 or more. I found one off of ebay for about $5 with shipping and it works great. Also make sure to download the older pciii software from dynojet because the new usb software is not compatible with old serial connection |

I figured a serial to USB converter would work with the older software. I know RadioShack has 'em for $35 so you ain't kiddin on the price premium. Ebay here I come! |

I didn't even know DynoJet made a serial version of the Power Commander until I got this 929. Dood had it on there ever since 2001 when PC's probably first started to get popular with fuel-injected bikes. In the end tho, it's really just a different interface to connect the bike and computer together. The concept of tweakin the fuel curve is still the same. |

| Re: PC III Non Usb question the USB version has more adjustability than the serial version. if I remember correctly the USB can do 250rpm increments and the serial only 500rpm. |
