| 2006 600rr stock exhaust metal? What is the exhaust pipe made of on the 05-06 600rr's? I bought one and the idiot that had it before me drilled a hole in the pipe just before the muffler, and then in the muffler also. Sounds like crap. I know that my 954 has titanium exhaust but I'm just wondering if I can weld to this stuff whatever it is. | |

| Re: 2006 600rr stock exhaust metal? ok, I took a magnet to it. The main pipe is not magnetic. There is a section between the pipe and the muffler area that is magnetic, then the muffler is not magnetic. I'm not sure exactly what that means though. I may just take some jbweld to it though I would rather do something more permanant. |

| Re: 2006 600rr stock exhaust metal? Stainless steels are not magnetic, at least the garden varieties that exhausts are made from. Carbon steels are magnetic. Titanium is also not magnetic. |
