Bike died on the way home...

Hi,
This evening my CBR 600f2 died. Well the throttle response was a little off in that it would hesitate then surge at first rolling on the throttle.
This happened for about 30 seconds then it just died.

I rolled in to a Gas Station and looked and poked, but I had no tools and it was a bit hot. After about 10 minutes It started, and I continued on my way. 2 miles down the road the same happened, dodgy throttle and then died.

This time it too longer for the bike to start and at first it would only start with the Choke on full. 3 miles later it stopped again.

It happened 3 more time in the space of about 10 miles.

Anyone any ideas? I'm thinking it could be a fuel problem but I just do not know...

By any chance did you try opening the gas cap after it died to see if you could hear the sound of pressure being released? Sounds like it might be a venting problem...

Thanks for the reply.

Well, yes and no. I opened the Filler Cap, just to make sure it was not empty, but I do not remember hearing any extra pressure released.
