Non starting cbr600fs-2 sport

My CBR 600 FS-2 Sport used to run fine but I parked it up for winter and now when I try to start my bike it does not turn over.
The fuel pumps prime, all of the lights light up and when you try to crank it the starter relay clicks but the starter does not turn/crank the engine over.
I have a fully charged battery and I tried bypassing the relay but the starter still clicks, so i tried bump starting it but the wheel just skids.
So I think that either the starter motor is jammed stopping the engine from turning or the engine head gasket has gone causing it to hydraulic.
Has anybody else had anything similar???

Re: Non starting cbr600fs-2 sport

Just to let everyone know what the cause was. Cylinder 1+2 had filled up with fuel so causing the engine to hydrolic, not letting the engine turn over.
I found this out by removing the spark plugs and then turned it over like with the starter motor and it spat all of the fuel out. Rebuilt and it started and smokes a bit but it will because the fuel has washed the cylinders.

So has anybody else heard about a problem with the injectors leaking.

Re: Non starting cbr600fs-2 sport

Went to start the bike today after letting it sit for 7 days and the problems back again it will not crank/turn over.
So that means the injectors are still leaking fuel causing the engine to hydraulic and so need to be replaced. Curse. More expense o well don’t mind if it fixes it.
So if anyone has had a problem with their injectors leaking would love to know.

yea, i think you should go with aftermarket if you can...otherwise, the secret stash will run dry quickly.

Good luck

Re: Non starting cbr600fs-2 sport

I looked at the cost of the injectors from a honda dealer in the USA and they are $99 each so it shows how once again we get riped off in the UK as they are £199 each!
Anyway fitted the injectors today and the bike runs a lot smoother now, just hope that is the end of the problem.
The dealer has never heared of a problem with the injectors leaking before.
But i can confirm that they definatly can and it hydraulics the engine.

same here in SA jimmyboy. the dealers here are a bunch of greedy wankers since they control the market and we are forced to buy from them. the yanks are really fortunate, but then life is not all about things i suppose.
