Camshaft

Hi all.

This is my first post. I had a question in regards to the cams in an F3 Engine.

I will be installing f4i intake cams into the f3 engine (which is a straight swap) for the extra lift. What i was wondering if i am able to then use my f3 intake cam as my exhaust cam. If i use the f4i exhaust cam, i'll have to cop off a sensor on it, and it doesn't have much more lift than stock anyway.

So can i use an intake cam as the exhaust cam??

thanks all

Re: Camshaft

its not the lift thats gonna give you a benefit its the duration. the load separation and the duration will allow sharper revs and broader power range. running the f3 cam will not give you any benefit it will more than likely rob power. if your worried about the cam sensor then running the f4 cams would be a greater benefit with less work.

Re: Camshaft

Hi.

thanks for the info. its very much appreciated.

i think i will use both f4i cams in the f3, but just have the sensor cut off (which i'm told can be done).

thanks again
