Rim Color

I'm wondering if I should have the rims
painted orange?

Re: Rim Color

i'd say go for the dark blue from the fairings. you will notice the difference but it won't jump out on you.

Re: Rim Color

If your goal is a Repsol replica then you have no choice but to go orange. Looks sharp too! Just make sure it is the correct orange.

Re: Rim Color

I was thinking about the blue... I accually wanted to be different though,
Since there was a couple of the real Repsol 1000 replica's running around here. I think the guy who painted the tank still has some of the orange
left... (Crash Cycles)

But that blue looks awesome... I think

Re: Rim Color

Yea. those are the ebay special... If you look at my gallery I have better
pictures. The main problem with those fairings is the fit. other that that
there super nice. All the stickers are cleared over and the paint it thick.
If I take them off, I spend a lot of time lineing everything up so they
don't look stupid.

Re: Rim Color

Is the fit THAT bad that you would say stay away from them? or it's workable?

Re: Rim Color

naaa... The fit is not that bad my problem is
the plastic if for and 03 and I have an 05. So I have one mounting
point that I can't use... most of the problem is up near the air intake
covers. I had to make an additional bracket...
If I spend a little time shifting the side fairings around it looks pretty
good...

Re: Rim Color

Would also say go for blue.......but I'm a bit biased towards blue

here's my "other" bike......not a Honda but at least it should give an indication of how blue rims look like on a bike
