F2 with F3 intake box...

Ok, so Ive decided its too much of a hassle upgrading the F2 to F3 because the full intake system wont work... Will the intake BOX for the F3 work on F2 carbs or will it cause problems? I dont think it will but I figure there are more knowledgeable people on this subject in here so I figured Id ask... Any info on this please! IM so close to having the bike running I just need to convert it back to F2...

Re: F2 with F3 intake box...

I've run f2/f3, f3 and f4i airboxs on my f2 carbs on both the F2 and F3 engine. The F3 airbox will fit on the f2 carbs but you can only use 70% of the screws to fasten it. You can also use the F3 ram air system against the F2 airbox if you pull the f2 boots out of the lid and reverse them. Make sure to plumb your carb vents to the ram air so you dont force the fuel back into the bowls after 20mph.
