| beginner's bike i used the search button about this thread, but i don't find the answers i'm looking for...
i'm planning to buy a sportbike pretty soon, right after i finished the msf course.. i'm 5'11 and about 200lbs. i'd like to start in 600cc... i've seen in our local ads selling 97 honda cbr600f3. honestly, is this a good bike for beginner? i don't have any experience in sportbike.. but i do in scooter.. lol... thanks guys.. |

I didn't notice anything in your post or your profile about your age. This IMO is a pretty important element when seaking advice for a bike. If you're 16, guys might offer suggestions for something different than if you are 80.  Good luck and let us know what you decide on!

Good luck and let us know what you decide on! | that would be so freaking cool, man! lol... thanks! unfortunately, my current location is arizona because of school, and i'm 24.. my main purpose to have a bike is to drive from my house to university.. i know this is honda forum, but i also got my eyes on the new kawi 250r.. due to lurking for a couple of years, i don't really want the brand new bike due to obvious reasons.. that's why i'm looking for 97-00 600cc's instead... thanks guys! |

However, if you're set on something like the 600 I do think that is a little high. I've seen newer bikes for about the same amount and a lot newer bikes for not much more. I wouldn't go above $3500 for it but shop around and see what is out there in your area.
