rear fender 99 bbr 600 f4

my girlfriend recently bought a 99 cbr 600 f4, the guy who sold it too her looks like he took a saw to the rear fender and just chopped it off. he left a little bit of plastic on it, drilled a hole in it and put the license plate on the remaining plastic. it looked terrible! so i put a sidemount plate on it.

the problem i'm having now is how to get rid of the remaining fender, sice the trunk key is in the fender on this model, i can't figure out a way to take off the remaining fender and keep the keyhole for the trunk

any ideas?

1. Stick a hotbodies undertail on it. it will change where the key hole is.

2. buy a cheap undertail off ebay.( same key hole remount)

3. Just buy a new cable and move the cable and lock to a different spot.
