Frame swap

I have the opportunity to buy a 98 cbr600 f3 for $1,400. But the bike has to many penaltys on the title's that i dont want to pay so the current owner of the bike suggested me doing a frame swap. Im pretty new to motorcycles but i am good at working on cars. My question is how difficult will a frame swap be if i used another 98 cbr600 f3 frame and are there any special tools needed to do the swap.

Re: Frame swap

Not too difficult with basic tools. You'll have to sling the bike to something to get the wheels off the ground. It's mostly just time consuming as you have to take care in routing wires and remembering where plugs go. Just lable everything as you go and take pictures with your digi cam for reference later.

Re: Frame swap

I think you would be better of finding a different bike.
