Engine problem on my 2001 F4i

i dont know if this is normal or not, but wen my bike is going at idle speed. ( when no throttle is added the the clutch is fully engaged) it gots at 10km/h and the engine is very jittery and the ride is not smooth. thats the main concern that the engine is like stuttering. how can i fix this or this is normal for my bike?? any help would be greatly appreactiated thanks!

So the bike is stopped and in neutral doing this? Or only when riding at a steady speed? Its an FI bike so I would think that there would be some sort of code or warning light. Is it making any funny noises or just being "jolty"? It could be a simple missfire from a bad plug. Hows its power and smoothness through acceleration?

thanks for the reply desert blade. the bike does this wen its moving without any acceleration. it makes funny noise and is being being jolty. wen i accelerate though, its smooth and normal.

Hmmm........what kind of noise? Knocking sounds, whining? And now warning lights or codes?

hi ive got a very similar problem on my 600f, she just wont rev up very quickly, shes irrisponsive, sluggish and only appears to be running on 2 cylinders.

checked; plugs, HT leads, Jets, fuel lines, compression and all seems to be fine but im starting to get iritated when 2 strokers overtake me on the dual carriageway

its making normal engine noises but its not consistant, its like du..du..du..du. not warning or lights go on.

ive solved the problem now,

check the plug leads -

igntion coil on the left should feed cylinders 2 and 3, and the ignition coil on the right should feed cylinders 1 and 4. that was what put mine out, ive set em up correctly now and she runs like a beauty.
