HELP!!!!!!! 94 f2 Ok so I need a little help with my 94 f2. The darn thing won't start! When i turn the key all my lights turn on and everything but when I go to start the bike i get absolutely nothing. I tried checking the fuses for the starter and everything seemed fine with them. I have all of my fluids to include gas and the bike is in nuetral when attempting to start. I have not checked the battery yet because my multimeter is at work and I just left there when the problem occured. Everything was running fine when I stopped and then when I tried to start the bike again I had nothing. If you guys could help me with any suggestions about this I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Re: HELP!!!!!!! 94 f2 Your starter is more than likely junk. I just went through the same crap with my F2. The bendex (not sure if thats the right spelling) spring inside the starter gets stuck and doesnt work right after a while. Hope this helps...

Re: HELP!!!!!!! 94 f2 Sounds like a dead/dying battery. Do a charging diagnosis. These bikes are common for Reg/Rect issues which frequently result in problems like this.

Re: HELP!!!!!!! 94 f2 Dont discount the Reg/rect as causing you battery problem. A new battery may seem to cure the problem initially, but a bad reg/rect will make it return at the worst time - sometimes overcharging and causing the battery to explode. Keep an eye out for a hotter than usual seat, smell of sulfer or leaking battery. Stock rect/regs are junk and frequently fail. The Japanese TourMax brand makes an excellent unit with a big all metal heat sink at about $100. Easily spotted by the black box with red logo on it, resold everywhere under different names with the log partially obscured like this one bottom right: eBay Motors: Hi Performance Regulator Rectifier CBR 600 900 F2 F3 F4 (item 110268254272 end time Jul-13-08 10:51:28 PDT)
