F4 vs F4i

So how much better did the CBR get from 2000 to 2001 when it changed to the fuel injected F4i?

The main reason I ask is I have been looking to buy an F4i but have been having a hard time and just found a 2000 F4 thats in pretty good shape. It has 25k miles but has been well taken care of. So just wondering if I should really hold out for the F4i or not.

This is a pretty good review of the F4i that details some of the changes

I think fuel injection is well worth it. No petcocks, no chokes, automatic fast idle until warm. I held out for an F4i for exactly those reasons. If you live in a warm area it isn't as big of a deal but in cooler climates I think it's the only way to go.

Re: F4 vs F4i

hmm well it looks like I am going to end up with a 2000 F4. Its a great deal and in great shape, I am gonna look at in tomorrow morning and then I will know for sure. I am ok with sacrificing a bit of performance as this will be my first bike anyway, so think the F4 will work out ok for me. If anyone has any monumental reason to stay away from the F4 speak up now because I am most likely dropping some cash on one in the morning!
