Lowering an F2, Pros and Cons

I already know the pros and cons of lowering, and I already dropped the front about 1.25", and I know I want to drop 1 ~1.5" in the rear as well. Looking for advice on the links that are available and prices and pros and cons of each, I take my bike to the drags fairly often, and I DON'T want a stretch swingarm, I want to retain a STREET bike that hauls A$$ in the 1/4 mile. Also looking at making or buying a limiter strap for the front. Thanks guys, GREAT FORUM,

Re: Lowering an F2, Pros and Cons

I have a vortex lowering link on my F2 which i'm very happy with,it's been on my bike for going on 2 years and i've had no problems...i think i gave like $140 when i got it..my bike is stretched though so i can't really give you any insight on how it will help you on launch, but i imagine it will help a bit..plus it looks a whole lot better in mho

Just out of curiousity, can you put a number on how much stretching helped your ETs? My best run so far is an 11.82 @113 mph with a 1.79 60 ft. I may change sprockets if it will help. It's my daily driver, but I only ride 7 miles to work and 7 miles home, none of it highway.

Re: Lowering an F2, Pros and Cons

My best run so far is:
60' --- 1.814
330' --- 4.927
1/8 --- 7.542
MPH --- 93.06
1/4 --- 11.82
MPH --- 112.57

I've run over 113 mph, and done a 60' as low as 1.79, but not in the same run,
