where is the idle valve \ adjuster for a honda cbr600f3?

i can't seem to find it. my bike isn't idling correctly (or at all). it can start when it give it gas but as soon as i let the gas go, it'll stop running.

the only thing i can think of is to look for the idle valve and adjust it.

any suggestions are appreciated

It's on the middle/left(clutch) side of the bike and should be sticking out through a hole in the fairing/tail section. It should be near/below the fuel on/off/reserve petcock.

it seems like theres no difference when i adjust this screw at all. to make it idling higher, should i be turning it clockwise or counter clockwise\anticlockwise?

Clockwise. It's actually the idle stop screw, somebody may have backed it off.

so i've been trying to screw it clockwise for a bit. it doesn't seem to make my idle go higher. when i do it the other way, it doesn't have any effect either.

has anybody had any experience with this?

It's actually a cable attached to the stop screw. I'm not sure how it's attached, but it may have come loose, or if someone has turned it too far counterclockwise, it will come out of the part it's threaded into. Sounds like you may need to pull the tank and airbox to see what's going on.
