Can someone post the Service Schedule for the Fule injection CBR600s?

Hiya All,

I've had a look on the web - no luck.

I'm hoping there is something like you see in a Haynes manual, which breaks it down by service intervals etc.

I'm particulary interested in any work in the place of "Carb Syncronization"

Cheers
Martin

Found something RE:Maintenance on FI CBR6's

Morgan Carbtune - carburetor synchronizer for balancing motorcycle carbs

Q. My bike has fuel injection. Do I have to balance them?
Yes. You have to sync the throttle bodies in just the same way as you do with carburettors.

Marty,

balancing and synchronizing are two different things.

both carb and FI bikes need to be balanced, this means the throttle flaps must open and close simultaneously on all 4 cylinders.

however carb sync is done with vacuum gauges and it is make sure all the carbs are perfectly synchronized with each other, this does not apply to FI bikes,

so to answer your question there is no equivalent to carb sync on a FI bike

Some throttle bodies do have the nipple to perform the sync and one of the throttle bodies will be fixed while the others will allow adjustments.

Hiya FBK,

Arrr right! Thanks for clearing that up!

So the on going maintenance on a FI Bikes is all the stuff for a Carb bike, but minus the "Carb syncronisation" - cool.

Finance permitting, later this summer, I may look for a Low mileage, 2001 FI CBR6 then!.... and trade in my 185kg Carb model!
