| 07 or 08 CBR600 I'm quite sure that this probably has been covered at some point but since I'm new to this whole riding thing and I am finalizing my research I thought I'd ask: In your opinion are these good bikes?
I've yet to sit on them but I've heard that they are comfortable and that hondas are very reliable and durable bikes. Any comment? |

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 i would get the one you like best based on looks, color, and price. they are both great bikes. i am very happy with my 01 blade in every aspect. honda builds some amazing bikes. i had a kawi prior and the honda was definately a big step up. |

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 I would highly recommend the 07/08' CBR600RR. Lightest 600 by a good margin at 412lbs(wet), great low/mid power and above average top end as well, very comfortable also. My 03'(445lbs wet) has similar power above 10,000rpm but the 07' smokes it below that. Very good choice, IMO. |

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 Good lookin guys!! I think both models are sexy as hell!! I can't wait to get it. I'm just gettin into the bike business so I don't know much about upgrading and/or modding it but I'm sure I'll get a lot from you guys on this board. |

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 Honestly, the bike is so good from the factory that your money would be better spent on gear and training/track time. If you plan on staying in the bike buisness, being safe and educated early on will save you money and pain. |

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 Well I've already taken the MSF course. And I hope to take the advanced one this summer. There are a few things that could prevent that but I hope I can. That was the one thing that I promised myself is to stay up on my training and to never get complacent. |

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 good idea, id reccomend keeping the sv too. so if you start doing track days you have a bike to dedicate to track use. i want a 600rr, f4i, or sv650 for just that... |

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 If you are loaded - go for the 2009 with ABS - the ABS could be a life saver if you are going for it on the road. Even if it comes on once in your lifetime - its worth having!
If looking for a 07/08 model, go for the 07, 1 year is not much, and will be alot cheaper if you shop around. |

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 ^^really? i wouldn't recommend ABS to any one let alone a new rider.. all that will do is instill a false sense of security in an under educated rider...
you'll love the 600rr.. it's a great bike, i miss mine quite often..... till i open the garage and see my 1k.. |

I'm not sure about that at all!
Reading the Reviews it sounds good. Unobtrusive - only comes on if you really need it.... and thats on a race track as well!
Cheers

| Re: 07 or 08 CBR600 ^^ i agree there.. i don't think any of the newer cbr's have anything for a seat.. i had an 05 600rr and the seat was terrible.. the 954 was ok, and right back to the cardboard with the 1k.. if i had the $$ i'd be in a sargeant or corbin for sure.. |

when does a new rider really need it though? when it's too late and is riding above their skill level.. and from the opinions of several racers they all like having total control of the brakes and that includes being able to slide the rear out when need be.. not trying to pick an arguement, i just don't believe that abs belongs on a sportbike.. |
