| Clicking noise 2000 cbr600 f4
Hey everybody. I just bought my first bike about 1 month ago: a 2000 cbr 600 f4 with a little over 24,000 miles on it. Since I got my helmet 1 week ago I've put about 200 miles on it, and have started to notice a rapid clicking sound.
It happens pretty much from the instant the bike starts until I shut it down, doesn't matter if its in gear or not. The rate of clicking also speeds up in proportion to rpms. The previous owner said it is about due for the cam chain tensioner to be replaced and the carb cleaned.
Any thoughts on what it might be? Other than the noise, it runs great.
