| Help buying a bike Hey I am new to the whole bike scene, but I have been into cars for quite awhile. I was looking at a few bikes and was wondering if I could have some more experienced people tell me if they look to be good deals and what not. cbr f4i 600
For this one the owner says all I would need is windscreen a tachometer and a upper fairing stay and I would be almost back to stock cosmetics. Also, I am fine with all the colors because I would eventually be able to paint everything myself. 1998 cbr 900rr 00 600-GSXR $1500.00 B/O 1991 GSXR 1100 |

| Re: Help buying a bike Yeah the 1100 looks the cleanest. The f4i was obviously beat on....the 900's a stunter so you know it was abused....the gixxer 6 is a salvage/rebuild.

| Re: Help buying a bike Thanks for the advise. I decided I am actually probably going to buy my friends bike from him. He has a 2000 honda f4. How much do they usually go for. I think he wants 2500, but is that even really a good deal? Seems a little high to me. Here is a pic. (Black bike right in front) http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...ese917/f4i.jpg
The trade in according to kbb is 2180 and the retail is around 3000. |

| Re: Help buying a bike most definately is. more fun more involving but more risk. spend some money on some good gear. ride as much as you can, i always reccomend a more relaxed seating position for a first bike. the f4i or sv650s or some older ninja 600s and yzf600r not the r6 all have nice ergos.
i picked my 929 based on ergos. could have easily got a gixxer 1k or r1 for the same money if all out performance was my goal. for a new rider you should be able to spend some time in the seat, fatigue will keep you from riding and i remember my first bike i wanted to ride all day every day... |

| Re: Help buying a bike yeah definitely. I cant wait until I get the bike. I am going to put everything back into the celica and just keep it semi stock. I love the car to death but spending 3000+ to make it a little bit faster isnt worth it to me. It will just be my daily driver and I will keep it until it blows up. Thanks for the advise. I know biking is more dangerous, but I think if I like it I might spend some money and try to get involved in racing on the track. To me it just seems like soooo much fun and a huge adreniline rush. |

You will love the switch man. I used to put so much into my dsm but then put everything back into it so its bone stock again, my cbr is just too much fun, ride safe. |
