i would have to forego the cbr1000rr purchase just to reskin the 600rr. damn that stuff is $$$$.

Yeah, it's $5400 and change for the whole body kit. Then another $1k+ to have it painted. I'd love to do that, probably save 5-10lbs.

A friend of mine is in the process of starting his own carbon fiber business (bodywork & large items for cars & bikes). He promised us new skins for our bikes in exchange for using the bodywork as templates. He'll probably need templates for other bikes too....who wants to be my new best friend?????

Keep in mind I have heard that when they use your bodywork as a template it gets messed up,anyone here confirm this?Also check here for pretty good prices on carbon fiber,I have the front fender,it seems to be very high quality compared to some i've seen.

It really depends on what brand you buy as to how much weight loss there will be. Some makers use only two layers of carbon fiber.. I call that stuff "race weight". For a racebike that's all you need or want.

I'm currently in the process of making CBRF4 I think they will fit the F4i also. carbon fiber heel guard sets. These will be nice and nearly as thick as the original aluminum heel guards. If anyone wants to buy a pair... email me
