F2 Rebuild

Hey. My 91 F2 is getting really close to 50K. After many seasons of riding through all kind of weather including winter, going down and the usual abuse it really needs a lift up. Quite a few things are starting to go wrong with it. The plastics after multiple repairs keep cracking and don't line up. The front stay is also bent. The forks just started to leak oil. Many other small things. I still really like this bike, and don't want to replace it.

The general direction I want to take is the naked look. I use this bike mostly for twisties on the street.

The front end is my main concern. I am looking at either rebuilding my forks or going for a whole new font end. I would love some better brakes so maybe a complete new front end would be the better route. I understand that all sport bikes from Honda use the same steering head untill 2003. Since I am not keeping my stock plastics, gauge cluster and dont't really care about my steering lock I have a lot of options. But what is the best one? I dont want to affect my steering geometry in a negative way. I went through a lot of threads all over the internet that mentioned front end swaps on F2s including inverted forks but none had any review on how they behaved.

For the gauge cluster I am looking at either using the Veypor or Trail Tech Vapor. The Veypor seems like a really nice unit but I am afraid it is kind of small and hard to read. Any feedback on it?

More to come on my plans...
