Fried something by reversing polarity of battery on f2

Hey guys,

So I feel really stupid and I'm blaming it on my brain still being holiday. Anyways, I hooked up the battery backwards and obviously nothing worked. I switched it to the correct posts but now I'm still getting no signs of power. The 30a fuse below the seat is good and so are the other fuses. The ignition switch reads infinite and zero resistance across it for off and on so that's not why I'm seeing no lights when I turn to on.. Starter doesn't go either. Between ground and the black/white at the killswitch I read battery voltage while at the ECM, I get zero volts between black/White and ground whether the ignition is on or off? Any ideas as to what the reversed polarity battery connection might have damaged? Thank you!

Once again I am grateful and Surprised by honda's dummy proof machine. The 30a fuse I found under the seat and that was perfectly fine was the backup. The other one under the connector boot was fried... Changed that and I'm on the road again! Doh.

Thanks for reading :p

Re: Fried something by reversing polarity of battery on f2

Hey. From what I was able to tell, there have been no other issues once I replaced the fried fuse. The only other issue was that when moving the gas tank for troubleshooting, I pinched the breather lines to the tank, resulting in a no start problem. Now that that's all sorted, she runs beautifully again. Hope all goes well for you!

Well I've replaced the 30 amp which was blown and the spare was corroded so I got a new pack. I key in , lights come on now, but when I push in the starter button it trips. Pull out the fuse...turn key, flip switch push button...trips again! Could use some help here guys! I don't want to miss Hotlanta this weekend!
