| Re: Honda CBR 400 Photos Thread! Did you buy a fairing set or was it re-sprayed? It looks lovely and fresh!
I actually have a Honda Cub C70 (I bought it many years ago, still it fires up near enough straight away)

| Re: Honda CBR 400 Photos Thread! Another newbie here. I've been riding my gixer600 on track for the last year and even though I have some track fairings its always a worry so I have given in and bought a 400 as a dedicated track bike.
It is very tatty cosmetically but I think everything else is sound and it runs well. I have a lot to do I think. No doubt I will be asking lots of questions
...as you can see, its been through the wars fairing wise but i already have a new engine casing

| Re: Honda CBR 400 Photos Thread! New to sport bikes and new to the forum. Here's my 'new' (to me) bike, which has been a fun bike when it's ride-able... I've ridden scooters to work for the last three years, and some of my scooter friends (who ride motorbikes) have been encouraging me to get a sport bike and ride with them. It's not an RR but I'm hoping that there's still room for me over here, there doesn't seem to be much about 400cc sporty bikes on the interweb...

| Re: Honda CBR 400 Photos Thread! Thanks for the warm greeting. My 400 is one of the few I presume. I bought it from the second owner, a friend of mine who owns a scooter shop in Cleveland. He bought it and imported it from the original owner who had moved with his wife (it was his wife's bike) from Japan to British Columbia. They brought it with them, sold it to my buddy afterwards, he shipped it to Cleveland and took a stack of shipping documents to the BMV who then received a page for each question... as the story goes. She ran out of questions as he ran out of pages. Voila, Clean Ohio title! It had been sitting around getting stiff and so he offered it to me. I rebuilt all the calipers, cleaned the carbs a couple times (I need to treat the tank and really rebuild the carburetors, if I can find bits.) The voltage regulator then melted down, I replaced it... Had a blast riding it for the next month... then no spark...Now I'm looking for a CDI. Long story short... I'm addicted. |
