| derestriction of 400 jap imports at last a 400 section!
I do a redestriction modification to the jap 400 bikes!
so if you can't get over 180kmph, its restricted and their are a number of ways to derestrict it.
I shall post in this thread, a definitive guide to derestricting jap 400's.
You can buy a derestriciton box for about £50, but its a waste of money considering the parts are less than £2 to make yourself.
I shall keep you posted! |

| Re: derestriction of 400 jap imports why not make the mod yourself, i did and it works great.
£2 for the bits, Infact it depends on what you have sat around the house.
For the £30 you offer, you could buy a speedo converter and fit it in 30 seconds.
Why pay more? |

| Re: derestriction of 400 jap imports interesting point.
(But screwing a speedo cable into a adapter can't be that hard.) ~ solution 1.
hey NDMblackblade, a bandit 900?
Whats that then? Can't say ive seen a bandit 900, is it a chop of another bike, or a blade in a bandit? |

| Re: derestriction of 400 jap imports On my CBR400RR you just take the speedo off the bike and unscrew the cover and under the face plate there is a second needle that brakes a connection at 180km stopping the bike from going any faster so all you have to do is cut it off and the bike will have no limiter. |

| Re: derestriction of 400 jap imports it costs maybe $2 US to buy the resistor and 1/2 hour or so to do if you're handy and you've never done one before.

| Re: derestriction of 400 jap imports ok thanks admin,
I now have to copy everything over.
Since you just deleted the link to my forum with all the info.
I want to request to edit my 1st or second post on this thread to insert the info. PAGES & photo's worth! |
