CB-1 INTERCHANGE WITH NC29??

Can someone help me out on this? I need a head gasket for my nc29 but can't get parts in the states. Someone told me that the CB-1 used the same engine block. I can get cb-1 parts but want to make sure it will work before I spend the cash.

I dont know about the engine similarities but try emailing David Silver Spares here in the Uk, they ship worldwide and supply loads of Honda parts

I've heard the engines were the same. Give it a shot, it shouldn't cost a fortune anyways.

As far as I can tell, the NC23 engine is the same as the CB1. The NC29, which you have, will not be be the same.

Btw, don't forget to check the engine number itself. Your bike could be like mine: Frame number NC29, but an engine number NC23. It's the engine number that's important here and will dictate what parts you need.

there is a manuals link on the lower right corner you can follow to a PDF fiche for the 29.
you can also order parts from rs cycles

my favorite source for parts however, is Redline Powersports
ask for Craig
he gets bits from Japan to your door in 2 weeks or less. Head gaskets are $50-60
I have one spare if you need it real fast.

both shops are in the USA

Can you post a link to this in the Useful list of Web Addresses And Parts Suppliers For CBR400 Owners thread.. Its set up so people in different parts of the world can look for parts near them.. At least it will be once we get a few more entries on it..
