RE:New brake pads - suggestions for a CBR400?

Hiya All,

RE:New brake pads - suggestions for a CBR400?

I mainly do welsh twisties, but also do a little commuting into work as well.

(One of the front left brake pads is flopping around in the caliper for some reason. I'm going to take apart and take a look this weekend. Will replace all the front pads if there is a problem, and just need your advise on best sets to buy)

Hope you can advise
Cheers
Martin

First off I'd check out why you've got the uneven wear. Sounds to me like you've got a sticking piston in the caliper.

Sort that out first. As to what pads to get I don't know what you've got on offer over there in Blighty. Here in the land of small smiley people, I just take what they throw at me and hope they work.

Obviously they're new Loopy. I mean I have no idea as to the type of pad that's available here. I think there's just the standard type unless I head up to Bangkok and trek across the capital looking at a boat-load of shops

It was the "hope they work" part that had my eyebrows up in the clouds!!
