| Re: Surffrog.... No, and in fact I think I made things worse. Before she would start on three cylinders. Now, after cleaning the plugs (which were wet and covered in a form of grit ) and correctly tightening them down and checking the leads are securely connected, she doesn't want to start at all.
The battery is strong and the carbs are delivering plenty of fuel, so I'm suspecting a 'short' or dry joint from the low-tension leads to the coils. Tomorrow I'm going to buy some new cable and connectors and make a new set of low-tension leads. I shall report the results. |

At this stage it's just a theory though... |

Unbelievable. I walked into one place that appeared to have every tool and fastening known to man but, lo and behold, they only had male spade connectors. Admittedly, they have every conceivable size but absolutely no female connectors. There are times when I wonder how these people survive. It should be noted that there are a hell of a lot of old classic cars (and bikes) floating around in Phuket, but I guess they have to ship the bloody thing to Bangkok to get anything more than a wash and wax done to it
I may well be heading over to Singapore myself now that I'm armed with the addresses given to me by Crisis - Crisis, let me know when you're heading out. I may well join you. I hope you like beer
Maybe it's time to get a newish 600rr |

Anyway, I don't have flight details yet but will see the girls in the office tomorrow. I am likely to be flying on the Friday and Monday and will let you know more soon as I know.
I will be on a course so talk of beer may be bit exaggerated on my part ... but, then again....
Will definitely be going to bike shops if I possibly can, though. |
