| big problems help hi everyone as some of you know i recently posted about servicing my nc23 triarm i started with plugs witch according to the haynes manual were ngkcr9eh9 with a single feeler on the electrode and threaded so far with a countersink on them but the plugs i removed from my bike were cr9ek with 2 feelers on the electrode and threaded all the way down so i presumed the plugs that were in were wrong so i changed them to the cr9eh9 from the haynes, bike started first time and idled perfectly also revved fine so decided to take for a quick ride make sure it was ok, but problems started as i picked up pace around 50mph the bike felt somehow rougher and vibrated the seat more and when i opened the throttle it sounded gruntier and as i accelerated the was a whistleing sound that happened everytime i accelerated past 50mph almost like a turbo whine so i headed home, when i got home there was oil splattered on the inside of the screen and down the forks but couldnt see where it was coming from so decided straight away to change the plugs to the ngkcr9ek got some new ones fitted them started up ok idled a little bit rough not much took it to supermarket it felt rough no power in the bike the whistleing is still there and it sounds rough and is jolting like mad at low revs and stalled on me twice while about to set of from still and now the engine sounds rough with a tapping noise please help hope i havent killed her |

Oil, tyres and road do not mix all that well if you know what I mean. |

| Re: big problems help cheers loopy cr8eh9 are the standard plug then the racing plug is cr9eh9 but the ones originally in were cr9ek i put them back in and it runs ok now and ive just found what the oil is i have damaged my radiator when i changed the plugs and its a green fluid spraying out when running so ive patched it with a bit of bluetack its slowed down will have to get another radiator of ebay(is the fluid just normal coolant) but i have no idea what the whistleing through the rev is and the clicking noise wich only happens when the bike is warm(after a run) |

| Re: big problems help The whistling could be the sound of the coolant escaping from the radiator. Also, If the coolant manages to find its way to the plugs it might create a misfire/poor running.
As for the clicking sound, check your oil level. Mine does that clicking sound if the level drops even by only a quarter! |
