Indicator Flashes at 2000rpm

This is a weird one.. the right hand indicator on my bike will only flash when I hit 2000rpm, the left hand one works whatever revs I am at.. I checked the bulbs and they were different, one was 12v 10a and the other was 12v 15a, so after checking the manual I bought new bulbs and now they are both the same.....

But the right hand indicator still only flashes when the revs hit 2000... why

Check your wiring to the indicator. It could be dirty or not fully connected and 2000 RPM provides the right vibrations to make it work....

Loopy I'm thinking dry joint. It sounds to me like you've got a partial short in the wiring to the the relay. Under 2000 rpm the charging system isn't producing any charge, but above that engine speed it starts producing power - possibly enough to get through the shorted wire. Or it could just be the relay. Time to get your multi-meter out

Re: Indicator Flashes at 2000rpm

While they can be a pain to locate, they've got to be better than a full-on internal engine failure, surely?
