Help : Why Wont it start?

Hey guys,

My bike got delivered yesterday its an 89 cbr 400,the guy said he had to jump it to get it going. so i charged the battery but it wont start, just get alot of noise from the starter motor. It has been left out in the cold over night but that shouldnt make that much of a difference should it.
Im fairly new to bikes, so its stressing me out that it wont start.

Can anyone help me out??

Cheers in advance

Hmm. (Back to basics. You need 1, Spark, 2, Fuel and 3 Air... - Make sure you are getting all of them )

You say you get a lot of noise from the starter motor... What does it sound like?

Does the engine turn over?

Twincam's just summed it up in a nutshell. Go through it step by step to isolate the area of the fault. Good luck and keep us updated

Re: Help : Why Wont it start?

hello my friends : )
I had a similar problem because here in Poland nights are very cold in this time so i couldn't start my cbr as well i went to my friend to borrow a spark plug key and i told him whats the problem he told me that i should check spark plugs and put a little fuel directly to one or two cylinder's then put all parts back to their place and start the bike. I'm going to try it tomorrow wish me luck : )

Ps. sorry for my English but i don't know technical one : P
