| Conti Road Attacks The time has come to get a new set of tyres and i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with conti road attacks? A mate had them on his bandit and said they ran great. One other thing my current tyres are 150's at the rear, but I was thinking of getting 160's next. Ive read the tyres thread and the bikes obv fine running the bigger size but opinion seems a bit split. Any great difference between running a bigger tyre? Ive got an nc23. Cheers |

| Re: Conti Road Attacks what up i always put the spec tyres on my bikes i put a over sized tyer on my cbr 250 and it just wasnt right, my bro has a 170 instead of a 160 on the fornt of his r6 and when it heats up it rubs the fornt mud guard so just watch out its not 2 tight, i recommend bridgestone battleaxe i drove in ice on snow i have them on my 3 bikes |

| Re: Conti Road Attacks Dont think 160s will rub though, quite a few people on here seem to have them. Anyone running 160s had any problems? |

sorry to bust your bubble but no one is running a 160 or a 170 on the front of an r6
a typical tire for the front is a 120/70 sooooo .. you're a little off base..
you'll be fine running a 160 on your bike, you'll get a larger contact patch, but it may make your turn in a little slower.. not sure what sizes the 160's come in as far as height is concerned but you may look into getting a taller tire as well.. |

You'll more than likely get a 160 on the rear end though. |

A mate had them on his bandit and said they ran great. | I used Road Attcks on my last bike (ZZR600) and though they were great - much better than the Bridgestone BT020's I had on before. They seemed to grip better in the wet than the 020's. Can't comment on tyre life as the bike died before the tyres wore out. I would use them again, the only reason I haven't is that I like to try different tyres out and Pirelli's seem to work pretty well on the Blade & are fairly cheap too! Quote:

| Re: Conti Road Attacks Yes did wonder how you would fit a 170 up front! Think i will go for the 160's then, any suggestions on tyre height? Dont want to lose too much corner speeds! When the bikes at its best! |

like i said before i'm not real familiar with the 160's but if it comes in the 55 height that's what i would go with. give you a little quicker turn in. |

| Re: Conti Road Attacks I had a set of Conti Road Attacks on my CBR600 and they were awesome. Very expensive though at $650AU a set ... this was about 3 years ago. |
