| Re: what Tyres are best for nc23 cbr Generally speaking most modern motorcycle tyres will be more than good enough for road riding.
These 2 tyres you've chosen seem to be direct competition for each other from 2 major brands so I would expect there to be not a lot of difference between them.
Tyres are often a very personal choice - for example I myself am not a fan of Bridgestones yet some of my mates won't use anything else!
Another thing with bike tyres is that they tend not to last too long, so if you do end up with a set you don't like it won't be too long before they are worn out anyway.
When I couldn't decide between tyres I let price decide for me and went with the cheapest. At the end of they tyre's life I know whether or not I like the tyre performance-wise, and also whether they lasted enough miles to warrant another set or to try something else. For example my last rear was a Metzeler Z6 which performed really well, but didn't last as well as I had hoped, so now I'm trying a Pirelli.
And don't think that you HAVE to change tyres as a set, even if you're switching brands. Although most manufacturers want you to run matched pairs and don't recommend otherwise, I have used mixed brands on many occasions - and have found some combinations to work better than the matched pairs! Just make sure you're not pairing a x-ply with a radial or anything that you're not allowed to do. |

| Re: what Tyres are best for nc23 cbr Thanks Destructo
my front tyre ain't that good so i will replace them both at the same time
also there are 5/6 years old so the bike is wall over due a new set of rubber
and with it betting a 18" rear there's only about 4 tyres available for the rear so the chose is very limited |

| Re: what Tyres are best for nc23 cbr Sounds like a good idea to change the tyres, I'm sure whatever set you choose will be fine. And if not... then try the others next time! |

| Re: what Tyres are best for nc23 cbr Currently I have a Pirelli Diablo on the front and a Pirelli Diablo Strada rear.
The front is a Sports tyre, the rear is a Sports/Touring one.
(The older Fireblades have similar tyre choice problems as your bike - a 16" front wheel means there are not too many front tyres to choose from and they are pretty much all sports tyres i.e. soft and grippy but don't last too long!) |

| Re: what Tyres are best for nc23 cbr I should add... I have just bought another set of these ready for when they need replacing (not too long to go), they are good tyres and also the cheapest I could find at the moment too! |

I had Metzeler Roadtecs fitted to my bike and they are seriously good in the wet |
