| try help me solve this please ok so i just took my bike to the mech and one of the problems i currently have is most likely for the engine being too rich and no giving the best of power at certain revs, apart from that what i think is also that the previous owner which i now regret on buying the bike from, had a viper exhaust installed and after checking they do not come for cbr 400's, so i'm thinking it's either a leak from the small clamp from the pipes to the can which can be tightened or the can is too big to give the right amount of back pressure.
any thoughts on this? anyone |

+1 for balancing your carbs. You'll probably find they're way out and this really affects the performance across the rev range.
You'll need a set of vaccum guages to do it, if you're not sure about how to do it though take it to a mechanic. |
