| Re: should i stay or should i go Depends what 'doing up' there is to be done - if you're looking to increase performance, I would say the cheapest / easiest option would be to sell the 400 and go for a 600 (CBR, of course!). Or if you're ready, you can pick up 900's for not a lot of money -£2k-ish should find you a good one. |

Less than 6 months to go now though | 6 months is not that long.... good choice of bike to go for too (954 I assume?). Winter is supposed to be a good time to buy, perhaps in Jan when people need cash to pay off their Xmas credit card bills
You'll love a Blade, my one is awesome, the 954 even more so |

To be fair you've given us very little to go on with the initial post so assumptions have to be made - we are not mind readers! I guess we all may have made the common assumption (wrong in this case) that the 400 is your 1st bike, and quite possibly restricted - as this is the case 99% of the time.
None of us are obliged to help out, we do it because we like to try to assist others. If you are not getting the responses you would like, it might be worth reconsidering the question being asked in the first place, and whether you have included all of the relevant information surrounding the question. |

which when you've been riding longer than they have they then say ohh and go away
one of the reasons i got the nc23 was the seat height and imo the nc23 is one hell of a looker
i would like to keep it but i feel like i need more power (its also still limeted to the 180kms)how do i remove it ?? |

As for the looks of the NC23 - I'm not familiar, perhaps you could post up some pics of the bike?
And more power.... well I always believe that it gets VERY expensive very quickly when trying to upgrade a bike for power - far cheaper just to buy a more powerful bike. You could probably sell the 400 and get a 900 for pretty much the same money.
Unless you REALLY love the bike and want to make a serious investment in creating the ultimate 400 (and then keeping it), I wouldn't bother - you will never get close to getting your money back if you choose to sell.
Have a look at 900's - I love mine, it's an awesome bike Treat yourself!

My zx10r feels like the USS Enterprise when I open her up and she nearly rips my arms off. There's nothing wrong with the 600s, they're great bikes and a lot, lot faster than the the 400s. I actually went out looking for a 600 f4i/CBR, but I just couldn't find one here. They're just rare as rocking horse poo in Thailand. Quote:

I don't think anyone asked him if it was his first first bike or how long he'd been riding for.
Personally I would stop worrying about what others think or say. There's a fair bit of power left untapped in your bike as it's still restricted. Quote:

Why bother? Sort out the de-restrictors (there are a couple of types; one mechanical; one or two electrical) in an afternoon and then get out there and enjoy her again. De-restriction isn't expensive and most of the info is already available on this forum. Use the search feature |
