radiator replacement

so im in need to change the radiator assy as it is in horrible condition and i was looking online and found a new one for 574 EUR!

i have an NC23 1988 400RRJ

will any other radiators from other years fit into it? or?

anyone knows?

you can use even radiators from 600cc, especially those older versions of 600rr.

yeah, i think it may fit (of course with a little modification) with any 400 radiator such as GSX or FZR

You'll find that most rads of a similar size will 'fit'. You may just need to give them some help.

The biggest factors with replacing the rad with one from a different bike is getting a similar size (larger is often better, provided it doesn't intefere with other things such as steering/fairing clearance) and ensuring all the hose outlets are in the same or similar position. This just means that when you're shopping for one, ask for photos or measurements of the outlets.

If the areas where it bolts onto the bike don't match, it is easy to modify. Small brackets are easy to make from some aluminium sheeting or DIY brackets from a hardware store.
