MPH Speedo dial Conversion

Just bought one Its something I've wanted for a number of bikes and thought " maybe i'm not the only one that

hates those crappy little stickers" Here's the link to it on ebay. If anyone is curious of the quality I can always post a picture when it arrives

I'm a little dubious but he says they are better now, if not ill make my own, but will soon see.

thats the only problem with riding a nc23 at night

because the headlights are very good its just you cant see how fast your going at night with the speedo overlay which is very dangerous for your license and one of the reasons i desided to lay the cbr up for the winter

I thought I was the only one facing this prob...I even had the idea of changing to a brand new stock for the panel because it might be the age that is causing the prob... A new one would would solve the prob and so i thought...

when i got the cbr it had Little round numbers stuck in the wrong places so i got a braned new speedo overlay and cleaned the speedo up before i fitted the overlay

and all was wall until i tried riding the bike home at night then i remembered why i got a nos speedo for my old bike the reason being that with a speedo overlay you cant see the speedo at night and its very hared to keep to the speed limits if you cant see the speedo

so i started looking for a new mph speedo for it but i couldn't fined one any where so then i started think about getting a new speedo and rev counter unit but they cost about £350/400 so that was a no go for the time being

i was trying to fined someone who could make me a new speedo face in mph but i couldn't fined anyone

in the end i just had put up with it and just try to keep to the speed limits at night

Re: MPH Speedo dial Conversion

Here it is. There is some bleeding of the ink onto the white lines which the photo doesen't show (the photo makes it look better). . . it gives me the template to make my own though Its sticky back paper, i'm going to print on clear vinyl (no problems at night then) IF it comes out alright I will post a thread and make them available. Cheeky git even put his initials on it ah well nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.

Re: MPH Speedo dial Conversion

I am still working on this with chap who can print and die cut so I will have some updates in the next week or so, shouldn't be too hard and the numbers and lines will be clear so no problems at night and... perfect edges no bleeding no dodgyness and no bloomin initials.
