Paintwork Prob

Hi Loopy and frens,
I've just done up my bike...haha spent a bomb...however I am already facing minor probs...I notice that there are some what black spots appearing at the tank area where we grip...the tank colour is white in colour so the translucent like spots can be seen when we go closer..

Im not sure whether the camera can capture the spots...I'll try take some pictures tomorrow...

tried searching in this forum but cannot find a thread on paint work....any of u face the same prob b4?? any suggestions to get it off?? the paintwork is just 2 wks old...I've tried using GT85 to get rid of it but at the mom there is very little difference....

Re: Paintwork Prob

hi, from what you describe it sounds like your black spots are bleeding threw from the original paint work to your most recent paint work...if this is the case you can only paint it again to get rid of these marks, i would like to see pics to get a better idea.

Waiting on the pictures...

Did you paint it yourself (if yes, rattle can/proper spray job?)

when you say black spots do mean that the some of the spots on the area when you painted them color just moved away and you see primer?

Hi GSX,

There is no orange peel...I think that has got to do with reflections...sorry for bad photo taking ...I have attached more photos highlighting the problem...

Nope sent to a shop that do airbrush for bikes....they use the compressor with an airbrush gun...

There is no orange peel....I think its due to reflections and of course my bad photo taking haha But the spots that I have highlighted is as it is when u look at it closely...you will see a non-uniform white base which was never there when it was freshly out from the shop...So I dunno is it my jeans?? It's very distracting cos I will try to think of all the reasons but I noe that they are only possibilities...to rub on to it, my bike just came out 2 weeks from the shop...
