| 2nd Bike Question I have seen quite a few posts recently about members thinking about getting a 2nd bike. I am looking for one primarily for 2 up loafing around with my wife.
Well, I just happened to go to a dealer during my lunch hour and sat on the Triumph Speedmaster. It looks cool, but that's all I know about it. Does anybody have input on this bike?
I don't really see myself on the big cruisers, since I am in-seam challenged
but I do like the look of the Yamaha Road Star Warrior. |

I don't know about the Goldwing. I know it's cool and performs well, but I just don't see myself on one until I'm like 50 or something. I know a few of you have them and you're my age (31) or even younger.
I'm not really looking for a tourer that I can ride all day though. That's too much bike for something I want to do. Really, 2up riding, 100 miles at the most on a good day. |

Had the pipes put on before he even picked it up. What a sweet sound! |

| Re: 2nd Bike Question I thought about the 1800 VTX but got a new VTX1300 enstead. quite a bit less money, Plenty of torque for cruising around alone OR 2 up, good ergos and with a back rest it would be comfy for the missus. |

I actually started reading reviews about them, and talked to a couple of dealers. I got an OTD quote of 8999. What do you think? |

| Re: 2nd Bike Question The 1300 is the way to go, just wish it had LBS, hydraulic clutch, and FI. But, it is priced right and the sound is awesome compared to the 1800. Dual offset pins just dont have the sound like the single pin cranks like found on the 1300. If you idle the 1300 down a little from factory, which I think is too high, it hits a lick. |
