| 96 honda Magna? Anyone own one? Anyone know what to look for? I want to get a cruiser for going either cross country, or just to get groceries. I am gonna keep the 954, and have what I think is a good line on a Magna. 3700 bucks.
Any advice? it's a 750 btw. Also, the Magna's were shaft driven, right? Anyone know anything I can do to really add a kick to one of these? |

| Re: 96 honda Magna? A friend at work rides one. They're a 90' V4 not too unlike that in the VFR. Pretty punchy for a cruiser and quite a bit of "hop-up" potential. Would make a great grocery-getter. |

| Re: 96 honda Magna? Had one and loved it. Honestly, should of never gotten rid of it. This the website I used to belong too while riding one. Great mod information. http://www.supermagna.com/
Great commuter, excellent two up bike. Heavy though. Bike used to beat the crap out of me working the twisties. Would love to have another one.
Yes, they were shaft driven. Again, excellent bike. |

| Re: 96 honda Magna? I have a 1994 honda magna and a 2001 honda 929. i love the magna. i told the wife i would sell it and then buy a 929. but i never sold the magna. the magna is still for sale. i am not in a hurry to sell it because i like it but my wife thinks we could use the money more than the extra eye candy in the garage. i think the magna is an excellent cruiser.
if you are intersted in a magna you should check mine out. send me an email to jeffreytucker@yahoo.com i will send you pics and info. |

| Re: 96 honda Magna? You're used to maintaining a chain... can't see how it'd be a problem. Still sounds like a good buy. |

Great bike, though, with power to bury most larger v-twins. An easy performance booster (in addition to new pipes and re-jetting) is to change the sprocket sizes. Replacement sprockets are available in a variety of gear-tooth numbers. |
