| 82 V45 Oil question I recently bought a 82 v45. It sat for years, so I changed the oil, cleaned the carbs, etc. I used 5w-30 motor oil and changed the filter. Everything was good. I ran it for about a hundred miles, then decided to change the oil again, just to clean up any deposits that might have been loosened up. I used a 4 stroke motor oil ( valvoline 20w-50 ) and it immediately started knocking at start up. I put 3 quarts of the valvoline, and about a half a quart of the 5w-30 to " top it off ". I didnt change the filter the second time. Again it ran great with the 5w-30, no knocking at all. It doesnt knock at higher rpm's. Any thoughts ? The valvoline was about 8.00 a quart, so hoping not to waste my money if possible. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
