| HELP! Oil in my alternator?! V45 Magna I can't imagine why my basket-case '84 Magna had oil drain out of the alternator case when I opened it...Can someone tell me what went wrong and is this pile of bolts worth repairing?? There is nothing in the manuals about what could have gone wrong. Thanks!!! |

| Re: HELP! Oil in my alternator?! V45 Magna Not sure about the Magna but on my CBR600 I just replaced the stator cover (aka the alternator) and mine had oil in it too. Come to find out its normal on my bike to have some oil in there. |

| Re: HELP! Oil in my alternator?! V45 Magna My 929 stator cover job included oil in there too. Not to worry. It belongs in there from what I can tell. |

| Re: HELP! Oil in my alternator?! V45 Magna 1983 V45 Magna here and when ever I remove my stator cover I always get a little bit of oil, so unless you are getting alot of oil I would not worry about it. |

| Re: HELP! Oil in my alternator?! V45 Magna The OP in this thread was “kjdoc” with a Join Date: 07-16-2007 and “Last Activity: 08-17-2007 5:59 PM”
Chances of the OP seeing the response; not very good.
The second person to post in this thread; “AKAGalford” with a “Join Date: 05-12-2006” and “Last Activity: 05-07-2008 9:55 AM”
Then you were the third and sixth poster. |

Speaking of waste, between me and you, we've wasted 4 posts already. | So you cantrol what others do!!!! I can tell you what to do with it.
In another thread he did the same and after it was pointed out about the posting dates, he said he never looked at them but should have.
You decided to waste your two posts; want to make it three? |

| Re: HELP! Oil in my alternator?! V45 Magna The good thing about the way .ORG has this site set up is that when anyone else looks for an answer to the same question Fireblades.Org will now pop up at the top of their google search (try putting oil, alternator, V45 in and see for yourself) This helps to attract new members to the site.. So far from wasting space on the server it will help the Org to grow..
There, now I've wasted a post as well!!!!!

| Re: HELP! Oil in my alternator?! V45 Magna If someone is asking for advice, if the last response is more than three months; no need to respond. I doubt the OP has been sitting around.
If it is a discussion then if the last post is more than six months ago, then don’t add to it unless there is an update; an example would be if the thread was discussing something and it was to go to trial. Once the trial starts or ends could be at least a year out, then it would make sense to add to the existing thread.
It is more commonsense than anything else. Do you want to be that guy that as soon as a group finishes a conversation and moves onto another one “that guy” hasn’t realized it and still add to a dead conversation? Is this better for you? http://www.funnyforumpics.com//forums/Repost/2/old.jpg |

| Re: HELP! Oil in my alternator?! V45 Magna I was going to have one of the other aliens pick you up; I only go after the good looking chicks; no dudes. I'll mention your tongue to them; they'll have some additional testing for you. Expect to be sore for the next week. Oh, they don't have skinny fingers. *cough* |
