They are a really big (huge is more like it - 66.5-inch wheelbase)

, really
heavy (about 860 pounds)

, but very unique cruiser.

The early version made around 97 horsepower at the rear wheel, and around 97 foot pounds of torque at 4,500 rpm. They have fairly brisk acceleration (the early ones ran high 12s at around 104 mph in the quarter). They are very smooth, and handle very well for a cruiser (especially one that big and heavy). I once saw a yellow and cream version, and thought it was one of the most beautiful motorcycles that I had ever seen. Dropping it from the Honda line was an incredibly short-sighted decision. Honda management should be ashamed of themselves. Instead, they should have shortened the wheelbase to around 58 to 60 inches, lopped off 100 pounds or more, and increased the horsepower to 150 or more. It would then have been a world-class competitor in the cruiser arena.
