2004 Shadow Spirit 1100 trans noise

Bought this bike with only 1600 miles on it! Before I bought it I noticed that when you shift through the gears it very loud! Sounds like I'm shifting with a pipe wrench! I went online and found others with same complaint. They said its just the way they shift. I was told to try synthetic oil and to let it break in and it should get better.Well I've got over 8000 on it now and its still the same. Anyone else have this problem and if so, any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you

I was browsing the forums and found this. I apologize if replying to an old thread is bad mojo around here but I had to answer this.

It's not a problem. They shift loud... very loud. You are not alone good sir. ESPECIALLY in 1st and 2nd.. nice hefty *kachunk* I actually kind of like it

I wouldn't worry about it.
