82 magna hard shifting and Blinker

Hi I just bought my First Bike an 82 Magna, when I first bought the bike the valves were way out of specs so I took it in and got them fixed but ever since that my bike has been shifting hard. I am not sure if it is related but I noticed it after, and it only shifts hard when it is warmed up. Any Ideas a I am running 10w-40 oil in it as well. And also my blinkers do not work but when I hit the switch the side that I am trying to activate the day time light goes off I was wondering what is wrong with it, is that a sign of the realy going out?n Thanks

try replacing the relay in the turn signal
as for the shifting how is your clutch? might need adjustment or to be replaced.

The valves have nothing to do with shifting... It may be that after the tune up you have magnified another problem... How many miles?

On limited information I would look at transmission problems... (shifter dogs?).

The Bike has 16,000 miles on it and the guy who owned it before me did not maintain it the best or at all I think. Today I cracked open the clutch fluid resivore and it was a disgusting brown color so I spent most of the day bleeding the system and it seemed to help with the shifting, but it still clunks a little especially when warm or when I shift fast. Could it be something with the shift linkage that needs adjusting and if so where do I make the adjustments?
