| Power Commander 2 off a 1999 929? Does anyone know for sure if a power commander 2 off of a 1999 929 work on a 2003 954...I know it's very unlikely but I can get one from a guy for really cheap.
Thanks, Hellfire666 |

| Re: Power Commander 2 off a 1999 929? a 929 pcII is the same as a 929 pcIII, just a different sticker. I've heard around here that you can cut and paste a 929 map's settings into a 954 template and it will work fine. I'd wait for more responses to confirm that, though. |

| Re: Power Commander 2 off a 1999 929? Do you mean a 2000 929? They didn't make 929s in 1999. You can use it, but as Redcliffs said, you can't directly download maps. You'd have to somehow cut and paste. I haven't done it personally, but have heard it's possible. |

If it is a 00-01 929 power commander, check their website to see if the part numbers are the same, if not... |

| Re: Power Commander 2 off a 1999 929? The plugs for the units are the same and they can be used in both bikes. The exception, as HGToo already explained, is the maps. |

| Re: Power Commander 2 off a 1999 929? The PC is the same. If you're worried about it, just write out the values for the map you want and enter them yourself in the map. Then upload it, and you're sweet. The RC51 models are the same (SP1 vs SP2) . Different PC model even though the connectors are the same. It's just because of the different throttle bodies (on SP1 and 2) and the different size motor in the 929 and 954, they have a different base map in them from factory. I shouldn't imagine why the software won't work anyway. But it may not. |
