Re: Need some help!

First problem, when I come to a stop from 80 to 100kmph using the front brakes I get a pulsating clunking noise coming from in and around the steering head. This problem started last summer so when I brought my bike in for the service bulletin I mentioned the problem and the mechanic, he said it probably has to do with the bearings. After I got the bike back the problem was gone, but now after about a month and a half of riding it’s back. Any ideas?

Second problem has to do with the clutch side clip on. When I push up and down on it, it makes a clicking noise as if it’s moving slightly. I’ve tried tightening everything and still it makes this noise.

I needed my new head bearings retightened after about a month of riding after the recall work was done. It sounds like the clip-on should be inspected when the top of the triple tree is off. Take it to the dealer asap, and try to be there when he does the work.

CBRVFR,

Did you experience the same clunking sensation before you had your head bearings retightened?
